Express Entry with Category-Based Occupations

Master Immigration Services assists U.S. citizens in applying for permanent residence in Canada through the Express Entry system. This system manages applications for three main economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

In 2023, Canada introduced category-based selection within the Express Entry system, targeting specific occupations to better address the country’s labor market needs. This means that U.S. citizens with skills in high-demand occupations—such as healthcare, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and trades—have enhanced opportunities for selection. Master Immigration Services can help U.S. citizens assess their eligibility under these categories and optimize their Express Entry profiles.

Family Sponsorship

If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident looking to sponsor a family member who is a U.S. citizen, Master Immigration Services can guide you through the family sponsorship process. This service includes assistance with gathering the required documentation, submitting applications, and ensuring compliance with Canadian immigration laws. Family sponsorship is available for spouses, common-law partners, children, parents, and grandparents.

Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)

For Canadian employers wishing to hire U.S. citizens, Master Immigration Services offers expertise in obtaining a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). This document is required to demonstrate that hiring a foreign worker will not negatively impact the Canadian labor market. The LMIA process can be complex, but with professional guidance, employers can navigate it efficiently, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements.

Start-up Visa

Entrepreneurs from the U.S. interested in establishing a business in Canada can benefit from the Start-Up Visa program. Master Immigration Services provides support in connecting applicants with designated organizations (business incubators, angel investors, or venture capital funds) that can endorse their business idea. This service includes assistance with business plan development, meeting investment requirements, and applying for permanent residence.

Canadian Citizenship

For U.S. citizens who are permanent residents of Canada and wish to become Canadian citizens, Master Immigration Services offers comprehensive support throughout the citizenship application process. This includes preparation for the citizenship test, document submission, and guidance on maintaining eligibility.

Additionally, proof of Canadian citizenship certificates can be obtained for those born abroad to Canadian citizens, for Canadian citizens living abroad who wish to work in Canada in jobs reserved for Canadian nationals, or for children born abroad to Canadian citizens.

Work Permits and CUSMA (formerly NAFTA)

Master Immigration Services assists U.S. citizens in obtaining Canadian work permits. Thanks to the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), U.S. citizens benefit from a simplified process when applying for a temporary work permit. Work permits under CUSMA generally do not require an LMIA.

U.S. citizens may work in Canada under CUSMA in the following categories:

  • CUSMA Professional: For individuals qualified in one of over 60 professions, including teaching, medicine, law, and finance.

  • CUSMA Intra-Company Transfer: For employees transferring from a U.S. office to a Canadian branch, subsidiary, or affiliate. Applicants must have worked for their U.S. employer for at least one of the last three years.

  • CUSMA Traders and Investors: For those engaged in substantial trade between Canada and the U.S. or those who have made significant investments in a Canadian business.

Intra-Company Transfer

The Intra-Company Transfer Program allows U.S. businesses with Canadian branches or affiliates to bring key employees to Canada without the need for an LMIA. This option is available to employees in executive, managerial, or specialized knowledge roles, enabling them to work in Canada while their family members may also join them.

Visitor Visas

Whether for tourism, business, or visiting family in Canada, Master Immigration Services helps U.S. citizens obtain the necessary visitor visa and all extentions. This service ensures that all application forms are completed accurately, and all required documentation is submitted promptly.
